4th and 5th graders working on Cryptography basics in the SI (Coding Lab): Students are attempting to decode a message that has been encoded using a simple Caesar cipher. However, the "shift" is unknown, and they must use human knowledge of the English language to intelligently guess at the shift prior to applying a decoding algorithm. In the fall, our students will be diving deeper into cybersecurity and white hat (ethical) hacking.
